Stratifolds and singular (co)homology Semester SoSe 2024
Lecturer Georgios Raptis
Type of course (Veranstaltungsart) Seminar
German title Stratifolds und singuläre (Ko)Homologie
Contents This seminar will present a geometric approach to singular (co)homology of topological spaces. This approach is based on the use of a class of "smooth stratified spaces" called stratifolds.
We will discuss many of the properties (e.g. Poincare duality), computations and applications of singular (co)homology from this viewpoint. This seminar should be of interest to those interested in algebraic topology and its applications.

Recommended previous knowledge Basic notions from algebraic topology and the theory of smooth manifolds.
