The coarse Baum Connes conjecture SemesterWiSe 2024 / 25 Lecturer Ulrich Bunke Type of course (Veranstaltungsart) Vorlesung German title Die grobe Baum-Connes Vermutung Contents The main goal of this course is to explain a proof of the coarse Baum-Connes conjecture for bornological coarse spaces of finite asymptotic dimension. To this end we provide an introduction to the coarse homotopy theory and construct examples of coarse homology theories. We then construct the coarse assembly map associated to a coarse homology theory and show that it is an equivalence under appropriate geometric assumption on the space and some further mild conditions on the coarse homology theory.
