These are (co-) homology groups of a topological space that is equipped with a representation. To motivate the theory we will study knots and links along the way. In particular we will define the Alexander module and Alexander polynomial of knots and links. If time permits we will study Reidemeister torsion, which allows us to classify lens spaces. This course will be continued with a 2h course in the summer term. Literature there will be lecture notes Recommended previous knowledge basics of fundamental groups, homology and ideally cohomology.
