The inverse process is often called "Tannakian reconstruction". In on-going joint work of Peter Scholze and German Stefanich, they take this Tannakian perspective to the extreme by building a "universal" category of geometric objects purely out of objects in (higher) category theory. They call objects in the resulting category Gestalten. In WiSe 2025/26 Scholze gave a lecture course on this emerging theory in Bonn. Our goal is to work through the lecture notes of this course.
