Contents This course deals with special topics in algebraic and analytic number theory. Together with the course on
Algebraic Geometry this course can serve as a basis for further specialization in the area of
arithmetic geometry. We deal with local fields, Witt rings, higher ramification, adeles, ideles, L-series , density theorems.

Recommended previous knowledge Algebra is required. Commutative algebra and Algebraic Number Theory I are helpful, but not required.
