K-theory of finite fields Semester SoSe 2019 Lecturer Denis-Charles Cisinski Type of course (Veranstaltungsart) Seminar Contents We will study Quillen's computation of the algebraic K-theory of finite fields. This is a beautiful instance of application of homotopy theory to arithmetic. No prior knowledge of algebraic K-theory is required, although some background in algebraic topology, in particular regarding simplicial methods, will be helpful. Literature S.
