Infinity-Categories Semester SoSe 2019
Lecturer Markus Land
Type of course (Veranstaltungsart) Vorlesung
Contents The aim of the coarse is to explain basic categorical properties of infinity categories. Contents that should be discussed are the Yoneda embedding, the straightening functor (and to some extend its inverse), colimits and limits, adjunctions, presentable categories and localizations. If time permits, we might discuss stable infinity-categories such as the derived category of a ring and spectra.
Recommended previous knowledge Familiarity with simplicial sets and ordinary categories is helpful. The knowledge of the previous coarse (Introduction to higher categories) can be helpful but is not strictly needed. As usual, I will adjust the contents of the coarse to the wishes of the audience.
