Topics in topology Semester WiSe 2019 / 20 Lecturer Stefan Friedl Type of course (Veranstaltungsart) Vorlesung Contents We will cover some topics in low-dimensional topology (basics about 3-dimensional manifolds) and group homology. We will also show how to relate cohomology to Eilenberg-Maclane spaces Literature there will be typed lecture notes Recommended previous knowledge Basic knowledge of fundamental groups, homology and cohomology theory are desirable.
