Nevertheless it will be possible to participate without knowledge from previous terms. Topics likely to be covered in the summer term are: Hyperbolic 3-manifolds, the work of Agol-Wise, the virtual Haken conjecture, foliations, contact structures. The first meeting will be in the first week of term where talks will be distributed.
