Selected Topics in Algebraic K-Theory Semester SoSe 2018
Lecturer Georg Tamme
Type of course (Veranstaltungsart) Vorlesung
Contents Cyclic homology has been applied in computations of algebraic K-groups of algebraic varieties in characteristic zero with great success.
The goal of this course is to explain some of these results, e.g., computations of K-groups of cuspical curves, a description of Bass' NK-groups K_n(R[T])/K_n(R) in terms of differential forms, and a proof of Vorst's conjecture that affine varieties whose K-theory is homotopy invariant are regular.
Recommended previous knowledge Algebraic geometry, some K-theory
