We consider basic constructions of objects in this category from algebraic and topological data. In the other direction we will discuss topological spaces and algebras of controlled objects derived from bornological coarse spaces. The course will furthermore provide an outlook to various applications of these notions, in particular to assembly maps and geometric group theory. This course in an introduction to the field starting with elementary notions. Literature Will be given during the course but you might have a look at the basic notions section of the book Bunke/Engel „Homotopy theory with bornological coarse spaces“ available on Arxiv.
