Topics in topology Semester SoSe 2022 Lecturer Stefan Friedl Type of course (Veranstaltungsart) Vorlesung German title Ausgewählte Kapitel der Topologie Contents we will study aspects of the topology of manifolds, in particular we will introduce the intersection number of submanifolds and we will prove the Poincare-Hopf theorem. We might also do some Morse theory or compute homotopy groups of spheres via the Thom-Pontryagin construction.
